If you rent a holiday villa with pool in Cefal\u00f9 or a holiday apartment in Cefal\u00f9 of our village, you will find few minitues far the picturesque medieval town of Cefal\u00f9. Dominated by the famous Rocca which, together with the Duomo, make it instantly recognizable, Cefal\u00f9 is a place that you have to visit if you are in Sicily. It is part of the Madonie Park and is included in the club of the most beautiful villages in Italy, the association of the small Italian communities that stand out for the great artistic, cultural and historical importance, for the harmony of the urban fabric, the livability and the services it provides for its citizens.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

With its Cathedral and splendid mosaic of Christ The Pantocrator and the adjacent Cloister, it has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site since July 2015.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Other sites of particular interest are: the \u201cMedieval\u201d Washer, the mouth of the river Cephalino, which, rising from the mountains behind Gratteri, reaches Cefal\u00f9 through an underground path; the Museo Mandralisca, where you can admire the famous painting \u201cIl Ritratto di Ignoto\u201d by Antonello da Messina and the \u201cCrater with tuna vendor\u201d an ancient Greek vase with red figures and black background; the famous fortress on whose summit some remains of the ancient Saracen stronghold and the remains of the Diana temple (which presumably dates back to Sicilian times) are still visible, visited by tourists especially in the hot summer months particularly attracted by the spectacular view.<\/p>\n

Take a look around the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Church of the Chain, Osterio Magno, an ancient Norman fortress, the Church of Purgatory, the former Convent of St. Catherine, the Oratory of the Sacrament and the Episcopal Palace.<\/p>\n

Do not forget, approx. 15 kilometers from Cefal\u00f9, in a hamlet of Cefal\u00f9 on the slopes of Pizzo S.Angelo, a summit of the Madonie, there is the precious Gibilmanna Shrine. Between the fine chestnut trees, oak trees and ash trees, stands this fascinating place of worship and pilgrimage, where you can admire the baroque altar with beautifully colored polychrome marble.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Parking in Cefalu:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Most of the car parks at Cefalu are at a charge, and are indicated by blue stripes. Parking spaces marked with white stripes are reserved for residents. The parking ticket must be purchased at one of the machines in all paired parking areas. There are, however, numerous private car parks in the waterfront.<\/p>\n
