During your stay in one of our holiday villas with pool in Cefalu you will have the chance to attend a number of fests and events, here is some suggestion:

Earth Day Cefalu – April 22nd – The largest international environmental event in which the planet is celebrated and its safeguarding is promoted.

Targa Florio – May – The first driving race in Sicily and, since 1920, one of the most important events in the motorcycle calendar. This exciting moment marks a continuous stream of past and present in the spirit that gave birth to the “Targa”. The setting was, and still is the Madonie, including Cefalu. Every year in May, great names of the Italian Rally Championship, the best riders of the National Rally Trophy and those of the Italian Historical Rally Association take part.

La Fruottula – June 17th – ‘A Fruottula, also known as the Festa del Pane (Bread Festival), is one of the oldest traditions in Cefalu, handed down through the generations, keeping its genuine popular taste unchanged.  Traditional celebration during Corpus Domini’s day, the first Saturday in June, in which, apart from the religious event, local people organize a parade with allegorical wagons displaying typical products of the region, like the traditional “cuccidata”, to celebrate local craftsmen.

Festa del Santissimo Salvatore – August 2nd/6th – Feast of SS. Saviour of the Transfiguration, Patron saint and holder of the Cathedral Basilica of Cefalu. It is a celebration in which the sacred and profane are blended into a sublime alchemy of folklore and mysticism. At the old pier takes place the spectacular stunts of the “Ntinna a Mari” the challenge every year the young people face, hovering over a pole covered with soap and grease extending over the sea. The traditional game  is organized on the last day (August 6th) of celebrations in honour of patron Saint Salvatore. The purpose of the competition is to try to reach a flag at the end without falling into the water.

Festival Pasta in Taianu – August 12th/13 th – The event is dedicated to an ancient dish that dates back to the times of Arab domination, which is prepared on the occasion of the patron saint of the Holiest Saviour. The “pasta in taianu” is cooked with ragu, fried eggplant, meat and parmesan.

Camp@rt Festival – August 19th/21st – Art exhibition in all its forms, an open-air workshop, painting, sculpture, photography and video.

Festa del Mare – August 20th/21st – Folklorist show. Parade of folk groups, tasting of Sicilian gastronomy products and Blue fish festival.

VentodAmare – September 1st/4th – International Sea and Wind Festival. Conferences, demonstrations, performances, competitions and shows. Guided tours through the old town and gastronomic village.

Cefalu Street Food Festival – September 09th/11th – Street food festival that enhances the made in Sicily! On the streets of the Norman town you will find typical products and crafts, music, street artists, cooking shows and, of course, many tastings
